He is 49 years old and his son has played at Farnham Floorball Club since March 2013. Previously Dean was involved in Guildford Giants rugby league club for 8 years, first as Finance Manager then as club Chairman. He was involved in starting the club from scratch, made several successful requests for grant funding and generated over £15k of grant income for the club. He left the club after the 2016 season by which time they had a London Premier Division Men's team as well as junior teams in the U9, U11, U12, U13 and U14 age groups, having also re-branded the club to become Surrey Sharks based at the prestigious Surrey Sports Park in Guildford.

Following several trips to Sweden to watch Super League matches, Dean is working with contacts he made at Storvreta FBC to organise a trip for Farnham's Under-16 team to play in the Storvreta Cup in Uppsala in January 2018 - it's the World's biggest junior tournament with around 700 teams and they will be the first British team ever to participate. Other than that, Dean also manages & coaches the Southern Venom floorball team - a new team last season competing in UKFF South Div 2. The team has a large number of current & ex-Farnham juniors in the squad and finished 3rd in the league.

UKFF would like to welcome Dean in joining the increasing number of volunteers coming forward to help take floorball in Britain to the next level. And with more than double the number of Under-16 teams entering the youth league this season, the future of the Britain's Under-19s team really does looks great.
